Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented wardrobe manager to oversee the management of clothing, accessories, and footwear in a prestigious Mayfair household. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all wardrobe items are well-maintained, organised, and easily accessible for the family members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organise the family’s wardrobes, including clothing, accessories, and footwear
- Develop and implement efficient wardrobe management systems, including inventory tracking and seasonal rotation
- Care for delicate garments, including hand washing, spot-cleaning, and coordinating professional dry cleaning services
- Perform minor repairs and alterations on clothing items, as needed
- Liaise with the family members and personal shoppers to ensure wardrobe needs are met and preferences are considered
- Plan and coordinate packing and unpacking for family trips, ensuring all necessary items are included and properly stored
- Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and provide guidance to the family members on styling and outfit coordination
- Coordinate with other household staff members to ensure a seamless service is provided to the family
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience in wardrobe management or a similar role, preferably within a high-end private household or luxury fashion setting
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Strong knowledge of garment care, including laundering, ironing, and storage techniques
- Basic sewing and alteration skills
- Familiarity with current fashion trends and an understanding of luxury brands
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with the family
- Ability to work independently and adapt to the family’s needs and preferences
- Must have the right to work in the UK
This is a full-time, live-out position offering a competitive salary, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The wardrobe manager will work closely with the family members and other household staff to ensure a high standard of service is provided at all times.
