Job description
This role will include being on the staff rota and the HH will be expected to perform shift duties as the HKs do. Weekends will be required on a fair rotation basis.
Reporting to the House manager
The additional duties of the HH are as follows:
You will lead a team of 4 HKs (including yourself) and a laundress
The laundress is the only team member who has a fixed Saturday & Sunday off
Maintain the staff weekly rota and ensure all shifts are covered.
Create time for yourself out of the shifts to carry out HH duties
Staff holiday planning:
- Bearing in mind no staff should be on vacation when the family are in residence
- Also bearing in mind family travel and the staff required
Regular property walks checking for issues or opportunities to improve standards
Ensure correct uniform is worn
Ensure grooming standards are kept
Manage team uniform requirements
Develop a realistic cleaning check list
Create a specialist cleaning calendar
Create a system of checking rooms
Create a housekeeping manual stipulating what equipment, method and chemicals to be used in certain circumstances
Create a par stock system for supplies
