Most chalet positions run from December to April. We start recruiting in late summer, so if you're planning your season, get in touch early. The best chalet chefs and hosts are booked months ahead.

Most run December to April. Some chalets also operate as summer mountain retreats, which means year-round work. A lot of chalet staff piece together back-to-back seasons — Alps in winter, Med in summer.

Adaptable, self-sufficient, comfortable in the mountains for months at a time. Skiing ability helps but is rarely essential. What matters more is work ethic and the ability to keep guests happy after a long day on the slopes.

English is the working language in most international chalets. French or German helps for dealing with local suppliers, but it is rarely a hard requirement. If you need bilingual staff specifically, tell us.

Almost always included — either a room in the chalet or nearby staff housing. Standards vary by property. Larger operations tend to have better setups. It is worth discussing with candidates upfront so expectations are clear.

Chalet chefs earn the most — typically £500 to £1,200 per week. Hosts and housekeepers earn less. Accommodation and meals are included during the season. Tips can add significantly, especially in high-end chalets.

Start in September or October for a December season. The best people get snapped up early — good chalet chefs in particular. If you leave it to November your options narrow fast.

Plenty of chalet staff work summers too, either at the same mountain property or at a villa in the Med. If you want the same team back next winter, early commitment helps. We set up rotational arrangements across seasons.
