Family Office & Private Staffing
As private wealth formalises, the household becomes an office. We place the senior staff who hold it together — Chiefs of Staff, Executive Assistants, Travelling PAs and Family Office Managers — with the same in-person vetting and discretion behind our 500+ household placements since 2013.
Why a specialist
The roles look like business support on paper, but they live inside a private life. The wrong hire isn't a vacancy — it's a stranger with the keys, the calendar and the confidences. Most agencies treat these as PA placements with a bigger number on the end. We don't.
We have spent thirteen years inside private households, which is exactly where the modern family office comes from. We understand the seam between domestic staff and the office function, the trajectory from a first PA to a full Chief of Staff, and the temperament that lets someone operate with judgement when the brief is “handle it.”
The roles we place
£90,000 – £180,000+
The principal’s right hand. Sets priorities, runs the household and office as one operation, manages senior staff, and represents the family’s interests across property, travel, philanthropy and private projects. The hire that turns a busy principal’s life from reactive to orchestrated.
£70,000 – £130,000+
Operational backbone of the office: budgets, vendor and contractor oversight, household payroll, insurance, compliance and reporting. Bridges the gap between domestic staff and the family’s financial and legal advisers.
£55,000 – £110,000+
Diary, correspondence, gatekeeping and project delivery at the highest level of discretion. The difference between a corporate EA and a private one is judgement under ambiguity — and an instinct for what the principal needs before they ask.
£45,000 – £75,000+
Day-to-day personal and lifestyle management: appointments, household coordination, family logistics, errands and the hundred small things that protect a principal’s time. Often the first dedicated hire as a household formalises.
£55,000 – £95,000+
Mobile by design — multi-jurisdiction travel, private aviation coordination, advance logistics and on-the-ground problem-solving across residences. Calm, unflappable, and fluent in the realities of a life lived across borders.
£55,000 – £100,000+
Where the household and the office meet. Runs the principal residence to a formal standard while interfacing with the wider family-office function — ideal for families not yet ready for a full Chief of Staff but outgrowing a standalone PA.
Salary bands are indicative UK figures for guidance only and vary with experience, location, live-in status and household complexity. For full benchmarks see our salary guide and the forthcoming annual salary report.
How we work
Every candidate is interviewed face-to-face by a senior consultant before we present them. We verify references and right-to-work against original sources, and we run senior searches under NDA where the principal requires it — including fully confidential searches that never name the family until the final stage.
The result is the number we are proudest of: 96% of our placements are still in post a year later. For a family office, where continuity and trust are the whole point, that is the only metric that matters.
