POSITION OVERVIEW
A private estate in Southwest France is seeking an active, well-mannered couple to serve as caretakers and maintainers of the property, which features extensive green spaces and gardens.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and care for the private property grounds
- Manage green spaces and gardens
- Perform general property maintenance tasks
- Ensure the property is well-kept and secure
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Qualifications:
- Active and physically capable
- Previous experience in property caretaking or maintenance
- Excellent professional references required
- Good character and well-mannered demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively as a couple
- Happy to be flexible about working hours
- Must have valid driving license: Location is rural so they will need their own car for private transportation, a separate car for work will be provided
Additional Considerations:
- Children welcome (must be compatible with existing animals on property)
- Pets welcome (must get along with other animals on property)
- Must care for 5 cats when their regular caretaker is not available
EMPLOYMENT TERMS
| Contract Type: | French employment contract (CDI) |
| Working Hours: | 5 days per week, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with 1-hour lunch break |
| Compensation: | €55,000 to 60,000 net negotiable per year (for the couple) |
| Benefits: | Full French employment benefits package |
ACCOMMODATION
- Separate private house provided on the property
- Accommodation included as part of the employment package
- Accommodation is a 3-bedroom property with fully-fitted kitchen, the rest of the house is unfurnished
