A prominent UHNW family residing in one of Mayfair's most distinguished Georgian townhouses is seeking an accomplished Head Butler to oversee all aspects of formal service within this impeccably maintained six-bedroom residence. The property, set across five floors with original period features including hand-painted ceilings, Carrara marble fireplaces, and a private walled garden, has been restored to the highest possible standard and demands a butler who understands both the privilege and the responsibility of maintaining such an environment.

The principals are a European couple in their late fifties with significant interests in art, philanthropy, and international diplomacy. They entertain extensively — hosting seated dinners for 12–20 guests at least twice monthly, intimate drinks receptions for 30–40 several times a year, and an annual charity gala in their ballroom-style reception room. Their guest lists regularly include ambassadors, gallery directors, and prominent business figures.

Your responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of formal household service: silver service and wine service at all meals and entertaining events, management and training of a team comprising a housekeeper, houseman, and part-time laundress, oversight of the principal's extensive wine cellar (approximately 2,500 bottles), coordination with external caterers and florists, management of household inventories, and personal valeting including care of bespoke Savile Row tailoring.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from a recognised butler training programme and will bring at least five years' experience in a comparable private household or five-star hotel environment.
