Female Private Butler - London

An experienced female Butler is required for a private household in London. Due to the privacy, dignity and cultural requirements of the household, there is a genuine occupational requirement for this role to be held by a female candidate. This requirement is applied only to this specific position.

This is a full-time, permanent position within an established household team, suited to a polished, service-led professional with strong private household or formal service experience.

The role is due to begin in September 2026, with CV review expected in late August, Zoom interviews from 24 August 2026, and trials from 7 September 2026.

Role details

• Full-time, permanent contract
• Five-day week, Friday to Tuesday
• Working hours are 1pm to closedown, usually around 9-10pm
• Wednesday and Thursday are days off
• Uniform provided
• 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
• Salary: £50,000-£55,000, negotiable depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Delivering discreet, polished front-of-house and butler service
• Supporting daily household service from afternoon through evening closedown
• Working alongside other butlers on shift as part of a professional team
• Maintaining high standards of presentation, organisation and attention to detail
• Supporting the smooth running of service for principals, family and guests

Candidate requirements

• Female candidates only, under the documented occupational requirement for this role
• Previous private household, luxury hospitality, yacht, estate or formal service experience
• Confident, discreet and highly professional manner
• Strong teamwork skills and comfort working within an established household structure
• Excellent presentation and communication
• Reliable, flexible and comfortable with evening service hours
• Available for the September trial and start timeline
