The households vary in composition — from a young Emirati family of four with a preference for modern Khaleeji cuisine and plant-forward dishes, to a cosmopolitan European couple who entertain lavishly and expect a chef comfortable executing everything from Japanese omakase to classic French bistro cooking. One family has a child with severe nut allergies requiring rigorous cross-contamination protocols; another maintains a strictly organic, farm-to-table philosophy and sources produce directly from a UAE-based vertical farm. Across all positions, core duties include daily meal preparation for the family (typically breakfast and dinner, with lunch as required), weekly menu planning in collaboration with the principals, kitchen inventory management, and sourcing from Dubai's excellent network of specialist suppliers — from the fish auctions at Waterfront Market to artisan bakeries in Alserkal Avenue.
