We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Laundress to join a private household based in Dubai, supporting a family of six. The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of luxury garment care, fabric handling, wardrobe organization, and stitching/alteration skills. This role requires discretion, attention to detail, flexibility to travel internationally with the family, and the ability to always maintain high household standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for all laundry and garment care within the household
- Expert handling of luxury and delicate fabrics including couture, designer wear, formalwear, silk, cashmere, fine linens, and specialty garments
- Washing, stain treatment, ironing, steaming, folding, and garment preservation to the highest standards
- Wardrobe organization and maintenance for all family members
- Maintaining accurate wardrobe and clothing inventories
- Keeping track of all new clothing deliveries, purchases, and packaging
- Packing and unpacking wardrobes for family travel
- Minor stitching, sewing, alterations, and garment repairs
- Ensuring laundry and wardrobe areas remain clean, organized, and efficient
- Coordinating with household staff to maintain smooth daily operations
- Traveling internationally with the family when required
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a private household, VIP residence, or luxury environment
- Extensive knowledge of high-end fabrics and designer clothing care
- Strong wardrobe management and inventory skills
- Skilled in stitching, hemming, and minor garment alterations
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
- Flexible with travel requirements
- Fluent English communication skills
- EU or UK passport holder
