Governess — UHNW Family, International

A UHNW family dividing their time between a Kensington townhouse, a villa in Monaco, and extensive international travel is seeking an accomplished Governess for their three children aged 6, 9, and 12. This is a live-in role with significant travel — the family spends approximately four months in London, three months in Monaco, and the remainder travelling to their properties in Aspen, the Maldives, and various European destinations. The governess is expected to travel with the family throughout.

The father is a technology billionaire and the mother a former academic with a PhD in History of Art. Education is the family's highest priority for their children, and they invest accordingly — each child has an individualised learning plan developed in conjunction with educational consultants and their respective schools (two attend a leading London day school, the eldest a prestigious boarding school). The governess supplements this formal education with structured after-school and holiday programmes.

Core responsibilities include designing and delivering bespoke educational programmes during school holidays, supervising homework and extending classroom learning during term time, managing the children's academic administration (school correspondence, report tracking, entrance exam preparation for the eldest), coordinating all extracurricular activities, and providing cultural education through museum visits, reading programmes, and creative projects. The family also expects the governess to manage the children's daily routines during travel periods.

The ideal candidate is an outstanding educator who thrives in a dynamic, international environment. You hold strong teaching qualifications, speak at least two languages fluently (English plus French, Mandarin, or Italian), and have experience preparing children for entrance examinations at leading British schools. You are equally comfortable delivering a history lesson in a Kensington schoolroom and managing three children's routines in a Maldivian villa.
