A professional couple in Richmond expecting their first child in May 2026 are seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse to provide expert newborn care and parental support during the first twelve weeks. The family lives in a spacious Victorian semi-detached house near Richmond Park, with a beautifully prepared nursery and a comfortable guest room with en-suite for the maternity nurse. The mother is a GP and the father a barrister — both are intelligent, open-minded first-time parents who want guidance from an experienced professional.

The mother plans to breastfeed and would value support from a maternity nurse with genuine expertise in breastfeeding establishment, latch techniques, and troubleshooting common challenges. She is particularly interested in establishing a gentle but structured routine that supports the baby's natural rhythms while allowing the parents to develop their own confidence. The father is keen to be hands-on and will be on paternity leave for the first four weeks.

Your role will encompass all aspects of newborn care: feeding support (breast and expressed bottle feeds), establishing healthy sleep patterns, bathing and skincare routines, monitoring the baby's health and development, keeping detailed feeding and sleep logs, preparing the baby's laundry, sterilising equipment, and providing calm, reassuring guidance to both parents.
