Overview:

A respectful and longstanding English family is seeking a professional and experienced Live-in Domestic Couple to manage and care for their luxury 10-bedroom beachfront villa. The couple previously held this role for over 20 years and are now returning to the UK due to family commitments.

This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for a proactive, and service-oriented couple. The property is used around 50% of the year by the family. The ideal couple should be flexible, trustworthy, and reliable.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeper (Partner 1 ):

• Full housekeeping duties including daily cleaning and upkeep
• Laundry and wardrobe management
• Basic family-style cooking (English breakfasts, light meals, soups, sandwiches) - If Partner 2 is a good cook, this is also an option 
• Errands and grocery shopping

Property & Support (Partner 2 ):

• Liaison with local contractors (Spanish essential)
• Light handyman and maintenance duties
• Driving duties (school runs, airport pickups, errands)
• General property oversight when family is away
• Supporting with shopping and logistics

 

Additional Information:

• Languages: One of the couple must speak fluent Spanish; both must speak English
• Driving License: Both should hold clean driving licenses
• Accommodation: Private 1-bedroom annexe with lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and private gate
• Food & Bills: included 
• Working Schedule: Average 5 days per week annually 
• Other Staff: Dedicated gardener already employed; 2 additional cleaners hired as needed

 

Ideal Candidates:

• Previous long-term private household experience (5+ years)

• Discreet, professional, and reliable
• Spanish-speaking (at least one fluent speaker)
• Flexible and willing to adjust hours based on the family’s presence
• Able to commit long-term to the role
