A well-known London family residing in a beautifully maintained five-storey Chelsea townhouse is seeking a Houseman to provide comprehensive support across all aspects of the household's daily operations. The property, set on one of Chelsea's most desirable streets, features original period details, a rear garden, and a lower ground floor with wine cellar, gym, and cinema room. The houseman works alongside a head housekeeper and reports to the House Manager.

The family comprises a couple in their forties and their two children aged 6 and 9. The household runs with precision but without excessive formality — the atmosphere is warm and the family are genuinely appreciative of their staff. The houseman's role is to handle the heavier, more physical aspects of household operations that complement the housekeeper's work, as well as providing ad-hoc driving, errands, and light maintenance.

Daily duties include receiving and managing deliveries, heavy lifting and furniture moving as required, cleaning of exterior areas (front steps, bins, patio furniture), window cleaning on accessible floors, maintaining the gym equipment, basic maintenance tasks (changing lightbulbs, tightening fixtures, picture hanging), running errands across London (dry cleaning, parcels, prescriptions), occasional driving using the family's Range Rover, and supporting the housekeeper during deep-cleaning days and event preparation.
