House Manager — International, Middle East

A prominent Saudi family with a principal residence in Riyadh and a London pied-à-terre in Mayfair is seeking a House Manager to bring international five-star standards to the management of both properties. The Riyadh residence is a modern, architecturally significant villa of 15 bedrooms within a gated compound, staffed by a team of nine including housekeepers, a cook, a laundress, and two drivers. The Mayfair apartment is a three-bedroom lateral flat in a prestigious mansion block, used primarily during the summer months and school half-terms.

The principal is a senior member of a well-known Saudi family with interests in real estate and hospitality. His wife oversees the household's interior standards and entertaining with meticulous attention to detail. The couple have four children ranging from 8 to 17, three of whom attend school in Riyadh with the eldest at boarding school in the UK. The household entertains frequently — from intimate family dinners to formal receptions for 40+ guests with full catering.

Your responsibilities include day-to-day management of all household staff, ensuring both properties are maintained to five-star standards, coordinating all entertaining and events, managing household budgets and monthly reporting, overseeing property maintenance programmes, coordinating with the family's PA on travel preparations between residences, and managing household inventories and procurement. You will spend approximately nine months in Riyadh and three months in London annually.

The ideal candidate has managed a large household at this level, ideally with experience in the Middle East. You are culturally fluent, understand the rhythms of a Saudi household, and can lead a diverse team with authority and respect. Arabic is not essential but would be a significant advantage.
