SENIOR HOUSEKEEPER/COOK – LIVE IN – CENTRAL LONDON – £50,000 Gross per year
Senior Housekeeper/cook required for lovely family located in Central London. The salary on offer is excellent and a very generous discretionary bonus is also offered.
The position is 40 hours per week, 5 days per week on a rota and shift basis. The team consist in 3 housekeepers (1 head housekeeper/cook, 1 daily housekeeper, 1 senior housekeeper/cook)
The family are keen to find a housekeeper with top end experience.
Candidates who have worked in large properties within a small team and who understand turn down services, and have a confident and friendly manner as well as excellent presentation would be ideal. The candidate will also be required to cook to a confident family standard.
Both Principals work away from home during the day so meals that need to be catered for are breakfast (very simple breakfast) and dinner. Usually the person on an early shift does the breakfast and the housekeeper on the later shift caters for the dinner.
Duties include:
- Housekeeping, laundry and ironing to high standards
- Family cooking
- Shopping
- Errands
- Keeping on top of inventories
- Ensuring fridge is properly stocked and that items are not out of date
- Communicating effectively with the family PA and the Head Housekeeper
- Wardrobes, pack and unpack for travel
- Liaise with contractors
- Some table service at times
You must have previous experience within an UHNW/high profile household and excellent references
Have a good understanding of high end finishes and furnishings and how to clean and care for them
Be a confident cook with the ability to cook for a family of 4
