Job Description:
We are seeking a professional and experienced domestic couple to join a prestigious estate in the Cotswolds. The ideal candidates will be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work together as a team to provide exceptional service to the property owner and their family. The domestic couple will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including housekeeping, cooking, gardening, and general property maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the property, both inside and out
- Carry out daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals for the family, catering to dietary preferences and requirements
- Manage and maintain the gardens, lawns, and outdoor living spaces, including planting, pruning, and general landscaping
- Oversee general property maintenance, including minor repairs, coordinating with external contractors as needed
- Provide hospitality and support for family gatherings, events, and guests, ensuring a high level of service is delivered at all times
- Manage household inventory and shopping, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and replenished
- Ensure the security of the property, including monitoring alarm systems and access control
- Coordinate with other household staff and external service providers as needed
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a domestic couple role or similar positions within a high-end private household or estate
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong housekeeping, cooking, and gardening skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with the family
- A valid driving license and own transportation, as the estate may be located in a rural area
- Must have the right to work in the UK
This is a full-time, live-in position offering a competitive salary, based on the candidates’ experience and qualifications. The domestic couple will be provided with private accommodation on the estate. Flexibility in working hours and availability on weekends or holidays may be required.
