Are you an experienced and passionate housemaid seeking a long-term position with a warm and friendly VIP family? We are currently hiring a dedicated and professional housemaid to join a delightful household in Rome. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art penthouse and be part of a close-knit team, providing exceptional service to a friendly and caring family.
About the Family
The family consists of two adults and four wonderful children aged between 10 and 13. They are an English-speaking family with American and German backgrounds, and they have a relaxed and informal approach to their household. Alongside you, their staff includes another housemaid, a laundress, a chef, a driver, a nanny, and an Estate Manager. They are moving into a beautiful 1000 square meter penthouse, spanning two levels, with modern and high-tech features, situated in central Rome. The property will be ready for residency at the beginning of September, but during August, their staff will be responsible for setting up and preparing the house ready for the family to move in.
Responsibilities
As their dedicated housemaid, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the household. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
General cleaning and organizing of the residence
Replenishing household products and maintaining stock levels
Detailing and maintaining the property's cleanliness standards
Making beds and providing turndown service (when on a later shift)
Assisting with serving at the table (mostly informal family-style service)
Packing and unpacking belongings during family travels
Assisting with laundry duties when the laundress is unavailable
Ensuring fresh flowers are displayed throughout the residence
Meeting and greeting guests with a warm and friendly demeanour
Receiving and managing deliveries
Handling shopping and running errands as required
Requirements
Advanced proficiency in English is essential
Italian language skills are a bonus, but not mandatory
Experience working for private families or VIP households is highly valued
Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential
A background in the hotel industry would be advantageous
Passion for providing exceptional service to families of a similar standing
Must have a positive attitude, be reliable, and take pride in your work
Comfortable working in a team environment
Must possess a love for animals, as the family has a lizard and a snake (considering getting a cat)
Be a non-smoker
Benefits and Compensation
Independent accommodation provided (1 bedroom flat, 10 minutes walk from the residence)
All bills included, along with meals during working hours (alternatively, a 12 euro daily allowance for eating out)
6 days per week work schedule with extremely generous holiday allowance
Monthly NET salary of 2000 euros, plus a highly generous annual bonus
The family travels during school holidays and most weekends, providing very significant downtime for the staff
