About the Role:
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Housekeeper to join a prestigious ultra-high-net-worth family's secondary residence in central London. The family utilises the residence approximately 75% of the year, necessitating the expertise of a dedicated Housekeeper to uphold the high standards of the household throughout the year.
In this role, under the direction of the House Manager and alongside another housekeeper, you'll ensure impeccable cleanliness and organisation throughout the property. With joint responsibility for all cleaning tasks, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, you'll also assist with various duties and occasional errand running. The position also requires confidence in guest-facing roles, as you may serve at the table from time to time.
We're seeking a motivated team player with a robust work ethic, a thorough understanding of maintaining high-end finishes, and a keen eye for detail. The ability to work in a dynamic environment is essential, so high energy levels and a positive, proactive attitude are prerequisites for this position.
This role requires a 40-hour work week, operating on a rota system, with an expectation to work two weekends each month. Shift patterns may vary, with a usual start time of 1 pm and occasional 10 am starts depending on the family's schedule.
Core Responsibilities:

Comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bed-making, and bathroom cleaning.

Preparing the residence for the principals' arrival, including bedroom and bathroom set-up.

Management of all laundry and wardrobe responsibilities, including linen care, fine fabric maintenance, and ironing.

Assistance with packing and unpacking for the principals and their guests.

Care for valuable items such as artwork, silverware, and antiques.

Assisting the House Manager with table service.

Monitoring and replenishing household item stocks.

Collaboration with other staff members to ensure seamless household operations.
Key Qualifications and Traits:

Previous experience as a Housekeeper within a private household.

Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Hardworking, dedicated, and reliable.

Strong attention to detail.

Flexible with working hours and duties.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Willingness to undergo a DBS check or possession of a recent DBS check.
