A friendly and respectful British family residing in a prestigious part of Chelsea, is searching for a meticulous and experienced House Manager who is also happy to take on housekeeping duties. This position presents a unique opportunity to become integral to a warm, professional household. The engagement is set to commence in November.

The residence is a fully staffed, charming five-story dwelling that blends classic British elegance with modern amenities. The chosen candidate will ensure the home is always immaculate and ready to welcome family and guests warmly. The team consists in 1 housekeeper and 1 house manager who  can also do housekeeping, 1 chef, 2 nannies.

House Manager Duties

Comprehensive Housekeeping and Management: Maintain and ensure pristine condition of every room and space. Additionally, oversee household operations including scheduling repairs, coordinating deliveries, and managing contractors if necessary.
Laundry and Bed Changing: Manage laundry with meticulous attention to fabric care. Ensure beds are freshly made.
Specialised Cleaning: Care for silver, picture frames, and other delicate household items, ensuring they are kept in prime condition.
Upkeep and Organisation: Continually organise spaces, ensuring the household operates smoothly.
Child and Pet-Friendly Environment Maintenance: Create a safe, clean environment for the children and the family dog.
Team Collaboration: Work harmoniously with other household staff, contributing to a respectful, positive workplace culture.
Keep on top of contractors such as gardeners, etc.

Requirements

Physical Fitness: Ability to manage tasks across a multi-level residence.
Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within private households
Flexibility: Adaptability to the informal yet professional household setting
Discretion and Trustworthiness: Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of professionalism.
Tech Savvy: Ideally an understanding of high tech home systems and security

Note: in approximately a year, the principals will be moving overseas but will retain their London property hence the House Manager will be working in most cases sole charge ensuring the property is secure, all systems are operational/functioning, and that the house is ready to receive any impromptu visitors or family. It is therefore key that you are happy to work on your own as well as part of a small team for this position.
