About the family:
A friendly and respectful couple seeking a reliable and personable individual to join the team in their household in London as a Houseman/Butler/Driver. Their primary residence is overseas, but they also have a property in Belgravia, London. They value a positive work environment and are looking for someone who is easygoing, flexible, and dedicated.
Key Responsibilities:
• Houseman/Butler duties and some occasional driving duties:
• Responsible for assisting with maintaining the household
• Handling various tasks including running errands, carrying out deliveries, and overseeing general maintenance.
• Driver:
• Safely and efficiently driving the household’s car as required.
• Assisting with transportation needs where required
• At times offering assistance in another nearby property (Sloane Street) where their grown up daughter lives – usually twice a week to provide support and assistance as needed.
Housekeeping and Assistance:
• Being hands-on and willing to assist with housekeeping duties when required. There is a housekeeper who works for the family but the butler/houseman will be expected to assist where required with some duties.
• Assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth running of the household.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Houseman, Butler, or in a similar household role.
• Strong work ethic and ability to handle long hours when the family is present (1 to 2 weeks at a time, 10-14 hour days, 7 days per week). However when the family are away, you are given your time back in Lieu.
• Flexibility in schedule and duties based on the family’s needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Working Hours:
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).
Benefits:
• Competitive salary with annual adjustments according to inflation. Circa £50,000 per year.
