House Manager – Central London
Role and Responsibilities
Core hours are 8-6 Monday to Friday but flexibility is expected and you might be contacted at any time.
Tasks in the House Manager Role
? Supervision of staff in the London household
? Hands-on presence on the ground.
? Point of contact for house-related items with the family
? Daily operations support where required (eg. Flowers in absence of Head Housekeeper)
? Standards review
? Improving efficiency
? Management of the kitchen
? Conducting daily inspections of all spaces
? Booking external contractors
? Household projects at family‘s request
? House Inventory database management
? Seasonal staging of house
? House preparation for events
? House preparation for family’s return
? Product innovation
? Reports and updates to Family
? Day to Day management and HR of non-senior employees
? Point of contact with the family for day to day issues.
? Preventative and reactive maintenance management
? Household process management and responsibility for execution (monitoring and refining the way in which we run the household).
? Sharepoint / OneNote database management pertaining to the running of the houses
? Management of household utilities
Preferred Skills
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to any task in front of you.
Attention to detail is paramount.
Must have hands-on experience inside formal households and managerial experience.
Must be confident with technology
Must be able to write reports.
